COST

I provide several services when hired to be your doula. All services are included with your birth package. The cost of my service is $400.00. I require half payment at my first visit and final payment at your post-partum visit.

 

PRE-NATAL PREPARATION

We will meet a couple of times during your pregnancy. During these visits, we will prepare your birth plan, go over some relaxation techniques and spend some time just getting to know each other. I will answer any questions you have. This should help relieve some anxiety you may have about your big day.

 

DURING LABOR & BIRTH!

Whether you decide to have a home birth or a hospital birth, you will contact me when your labor starts. It will be your decision to labor mostly at home or head straight to the hospital. During your labor I will be there to support you and to give you encouragement. I will be using massage techniques, position changes and other comfort measures. These will all help reduce pain, keep you focused and help the baby to get into position for his or her big arrival!! We will also use birthing bars, birthing balls and several other "tools" for comfort.

During the pushing stage I will mainly help you focus on your pushing!!! I know you will be ready to meet your baby!!!

There are many more things I may incorporate during the labor and birth such as, helping communicate with hospital staff, taking pictures etc.... I will strive to help this be the experience you desire.

 

POST-PARTUM SUPPORT

After the birth, I will continue to tend to your needs and desires. If needed, I can help you with breastfeeding and basic care of your newborn. I have breastfed all of my children and I have attended some breastfeeding courses.

Once you are home, I will come and visit you and your new family. While there, I will check the progress of feeding and caring for your baby.
